How do we get from here to heaven?
Through the trudge of a clock said Augustine
Dante added, it’s not just serving time;
your punishment has got to fit the crime.
St. Catherine, bless her mystical heart,
said the transport is a flash of insight.
It is not up to us which it will be,
purgatory or epiphany.
To get to the place called Trouble’s End
hold onto your hope,
hang on tight and trust your God,
who is bigger than any problem.
