Thank you Frank for this lovely poetry on Joy! My joy is being surrounded by nature no matter the season! There is always something in nature to that I find surprises that I have not seen before and it brings meJoy!
Another things that brought me a lot of joy was seeing the post about the latest version of The Irish Curse opening in LA. Hugs and smiles and congrats all around.
Hi Lynn, The Florida pictures are from a past winter vacation. The last picture is of me at the New York Poetry Festival last weekend, which was also a joy.
I suspect it is easier to find joy at The Lake than in Albany, especially if there are some kiddos around. I may do another joy poem focused on my surrogate grandkids.
What a great way to start my Wednesday! I'm pretty sure I'm too lazy to memorize the whole poem, but I'm with Beth: I want to make that last stanza stick!
You don't need to memorize it. What I do is print it out and carry it around in my pocket notebook. Right now, I'm carrying around Mary Oliver's "Why I Wake Early".
Yes. Thank you Marylee. All the photos, except the opening image of the toy are from my camera, which contributed to this poem being a joy to put together.
Dear Frank, this is a beautiful and uplifting poem. I will look for joy as I go through my day. I hope you en’joy’ your day!
Thank Laurie, always good to hear from you. If you are around Bethany next week stop in; Matt and Meredith will be there with their families.
Frank, today’s poem really touched me. Thank you for sharing your joy.
You are welcome. We need more joy in our life, The infallible sign of the spirit of God’s presence.
