Reverse Babel

Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them and whose sins you retain are retained. John 20:23
A gale from the Sea of Galilee
a storm of sanctification
cacophony morphs into harmony
Babel reversed becomes Shalom.

We are sent to embrace
 to forgive, to hold
accountable
then release.
Justice and mercy kiss
join in celebration.

Freed from the shame of separation
healed by belonging
different tongues become one.

Pentecost is my favorite feast of the year. I love the presence of the Holy Spirit and the renewal that it brings.
